Support & FAQ
Have questions about LOKRA? You might find your answer here in our Frequently Asked Questions.
What is LOKRA?
LOKRA is a complete asset protection system that combines durable, physical tags with a secure digital verification database. This creates a powerful deterrent to theft and simplifies recovery and asset management.
How do LOKRA tags work?
The process is simple: you affix a tag to your item, register its unique ID in our secure system, and this allows anyone to verify its status, deterring theft and aiding recovery. For a detailed explanation, please see our How It Works page.
Are my personal details secure?
Yes. Your information is stored in a private digital vault and protected with AES-256 encryption, a standard used by banks and governments worldwide.
What if I find a LOKRA-tagged item?
If you find a tagged item, you can be a hero. Please visit our Verify a Tag page and enter the unique ID from the tag to check its status and help get it returned.
What if my LOKRA tag is removed?
Our tags are designed to be tamper-evident. Upcoming NFC tags, for example, are designed to visibly destroy themselves upon removal, making it clear the item has been tampered with.
Can I update my item’s information after registering?
Once you register an item, the core ownership details are locked to maintain the integrity of the record. For minor updates or significant changes, please contact our support team for assistance.
How does LOKRA help with insurance claims?
LOKRA provides you with a complete, secure digital catalog of your valuables. In the event of a catastrophic loss like a fire or major burglary, you can easily export a detailed list for your insurer, turning weeks of distress into hours of organized reporting.
